Unlike mechanical rod linkages that require significant physical force, this system provides proportional control over the boom, arm, and bucket. The joystick stroke is short, and the hydraulic response is linear. This reduces operator muscle fatigue during 8-hour shifts and improves excavation accuracy to within centimeters, especially when working near existing utility lines.

The factory-stock configuration includes an open-top canopy made of high-tensile steel tubing and a UV-resistant polycarbonate roof. This design offers a full 360-degree field of view, which is critical when maneuvering in crowded yards. It also reduces the "greenhouse effect" inside the cab during hot European summers, eliminating the need for air conditioning maintenance while providing basic weather protection against light rain and direct sunlight.

The SMT-18PRO is powered by the Kubota D722, a 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 10.1 kW diesel engine complying with EU Stage V & EPA Tier 4 Final compliant . Its DPF-free combustion design significantly reduces regular maintenance costs. Measured fuel consumption averages 1.0-1.2 L/h, delivering a solid 5-6 hours of work on the standard 6L tank. The engine ensures effortless cold starts down to -15°C, while operational noise remains below 80 dB(A) to minimize operator fatigue during extended shifts.
